Different Pathway in Life

Every people has made by God with different personalities. Everyone has their own abilities and disabilities that make them become unique. Some of them appreciate of what they have and it makes them become happy. In contrast, other people feel unsatisfied with themselves because they more focus on their disabilities. In life, everyone has their own goal that can motivate them to be better than before and become success. They have their own pathway to reach what they want to be. As illustration, we can two person who have their own abilities, disabilities, and achievement that make them different. They are Santi and Natalia. Actually, they are friends at same ages. Their mothers know each other and become best friend. Santi and Natalia studied in the same senior high school, but in different class. Here are the contrast between them.

            Santi is a beautiful and humble girl who has a boyfriend. Her relationship with her boyfriend has already about five years. She has an ideal body, beautiful face, and long hair. She has an ordinary family and she is the oldest child. She loves her parents. Her father and mother sell “es teller” in a small shop. “Es teller” is ice which contains are avocado, coconut, milk, and other fruits. There are many people buy it every day. Santi usually helped her parents in evening when she was still in senior high school. In school, Santi seldom studied because she didn’t interested to study hard, so she gets ordinary scores in her study. 

            When she had already graduated from senior high school, she didn’t continue her study because in her opinion, that’s better if she works to get money then study since the tuition is so expensive. Then, she tried to have a small shop that sold some Indonesian food at a mall. Actually, she can’t cook, but she has a maid who can help her to cook. Unfortunately, there were only few customers who came to eat her food. After two months, she closed her shop. Then, she sold many kinds of wallets and bags in her online shop. She got profits from her selling. Next, she wants to get more money, so she sells many kinds of health products, such as products that can make people thinner, body lotions, supplement foods, coffee, etc. Only for three months, she got so many profits from her selling those products in her online shop. She only uses her social media to promote her products to all people, even people who she doesn’t know. After six months, she got opportunity from the company which produce the health products to go to abroad for free. Of course, it makes her and her family. Her parents are proud of her achievement.

            Natalia, in contrast, is a diligent and discipline girl. She doesn’t have a boyfriend. She is thin and tall. Her father sells rice, medicine, tea, coffee, etc in a small shop in village. Her mother sells plastic bottle, plastic bowl, plastic plate, plastic glass, etc. Her family is an ordinary family and she is the youngest child. She loves her family so much. She has a goal in her life. The goal is make her parents proud of her achievements. In her thinking, if she can get good scores in school and work in big company with great salary after graduate, she can look her parents happy. So, she always studied hard and got good scores in school. She also took some private courses, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English course. The result of her study since she was in elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school are always good.

            After she graduated from senior high school, she wanted to continue her study in big university in other city because she got opportunities to study in three famous universities. She got discount for first semester in those universities because of her good scores in senior high school. She was very happy because it was her dream to be able to study in big and famous university, but unfortunately, she can’t reach that dream because her parents can’t pay for the next tuition (2^nd semester until graduate) and the living cost for her since living in other city needs so much money. She was very sad and hopeless at that time. Then, her parents asked her to study accounting in university in which in the same city with her family. It was surprised her when she wanted to register at that university, then a staff of the university said that there was a full scholarship for those who have good scores during their study in senior high school. For sure, she registered for it, did some tests, and finally she got that full scholarship. When she was studying in university, she didn’t really enjoy to study there because actually she still wanted to study in big university. When she was in third year of her study in university, there was an announcement about joint degree in Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) in Thailand for one year with scholarship. RMUTT Thailand is a big university that have some faculties. Then, she registered for it immediately. She did some tests and interview for it. Since her scores during her study and the result of her tests are so good, she can study in Thailand for one year. It makes her and her parents are happy and proud of her achievement.

            In summary, we can look two difference person who can make their parents happy and proud of their achievement with their own way. Santi is a struggle girl who doesn’t give up to get much money. Although she doesn’t continue her study and loss profit from previous job, finally she can have much money and bring her family to go abroad because of her achievement in doing business by selling health products. In contrast, Natalia, is also a struggle girl who always focuses on her study. Even though she still can’t earn money, but she gets an opportunity to study in university with full scholarship and also study in Thailand for one year. It’s not easy to can get those opportunity. She always studies hard and takes some course in order to improve her skills. Those achievement also make her parents happy and proud of her. So, we have to appreciate anything that we have and have a goal in life. Don’t jealous of other’s achievement. Everyone has their own way to get their goal. We can’t compare our achievement with others because everyone has abilities and disabilities which are different and unique. Be grateful, be yourself and keep struggle to change your dreams become reality!
